Short Story
TRIPLE SHINE
Triple Shine, founded & run by Sharon Rapetswa, is a micro franchising company that offers a means of employment for women and youth in rural Limpopo. She provides cleaning material; along with all marketing collateral at R3000. Now due to the situation of most of these ladies and youths, they do not have the R3000 upfront. They go into a payment arrangement with Triple Shine.
She has funded 7 of these franchises from the proceeds she has made from her growing Branding business, but this leaves them in a precarious cash position. This is where you come in.
You can buy a piece of a micro-franchise for a rural youth or woman from as little as R100 (a full one costs R3000 ) and you will earn R6,60 per month for the next 24 months.
How It Works
- You contribute R100 (or a multiple of it, maximum is R60000 for 20 micro-franchises) to this asset crowdfunding campaign.
- At the end of the crowdfunding campaign you become part owner of the micro-franchise which will be run by the rural women & youth Triple shine identifies & trains.
- For the next 24 months, you will earn R6,60 per month, per R100 you contribute to a micro-franchise.
- this will be paid out quarterly to you
- The entire payment process will be managed by The People’s Fund and Audited by SnB Chartered Accountants & Auditors ( Practice Number 966205)
- The People’s Fund will take 10% of the proceeds (or R0,66 per month) to administer this.
- You own the micro-franchise for two years and then it is passed onto the delegated person who had been running it.
Expected Returns
NB!! First & foremost, we need to declare that this does not constitute financial advise in anyway and that we have made our projections based on historical yields. Buying assets that will be run by a small business is risky and you should only commit money you are willing to lose.
Contribution / Asset Purchase | Returns
Quartely | Yearly | % | Total (2years) | %
R100 | R20 | R80 | 30% | R160 | 60% |
R1 000 | R200 | R800 | 30% | R1 600 | 60% |

R30 000 | R6 000 | R24 000 | 30% | R48 000 | 60% |
The expected return for this project is R4800 per microfranchise. Which means an annual return of 30%.
Put in the rand amount for the amount you would like to buy (Please ensure it is a multiple of R100).
